Inspiration and TrainingMy massage services are inspired by a day event called Caring For Carers held in Havelock North, Hawkes Bay.Caring For Carers was an afternoon where the local carers of Hawkes Bay could get together and receive attention themselves in the form of food, friends, massage and other modalities where people volunteered their time and skills.I attended this event whilst I was a student at the Lotus Holistic Centre in 2010, where I received a Diploma of Therapeutic Massage with Distinction.Healing Hands For CarersSince having graduated, I have decided to follow in those footsteps and not only help those who give their time for the benefit of others but to offer massage at affordable rates.Hence Healing Hands For Carers was created.PricesFrom my beautiful sunny home on Napier Hill, I offer quality services at $40 a session in a room with a view. A session is generally 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.To accomodate the price I do ask that clients bring their own linen of 2 sheets each session.GoalsMy goals for Healing Hands For Carers are to help the circle of life continue by refreshing Hawkes Bays carers one at a time so they may continue their own line of work refreshed, renewed and pain free.

Swedish Relaxation MassageSwedish massage treatments involve rubbing (effleurage), kneading (petrissage), and percussion (tapotement) in order to relieve stress, provide relaxation, remove toxins, and enhance circulation in the body.Chinese AcupressureAcupressure is a form of touch therapy that utilizes the principles of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. In acupressure, the same points on the body are used as in acupuncture, but are stimulated with finger pressure instead of with the insertion of needles. Acupressure is used to relieve a variety of symptoms and pain.Remedial MassageRemedial massage is a deep massage done to create the conditions for the bodys return to normal health after injury. It is used to treat strains, sprains, broken bones, bruising, any injury where the skin is intact. Deep tissue massage removes blockages, damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions left after injury, speeds up recovery and encourages more complete healing. Remedial massage is also used for conditions created by lifestyle for example Repetitive strain injury and Back pain.Polarity (Energy Balancing)Polarity uses the resonance of the energy in the hands to establish harmonious patterns of energy in the Client to release tension and to re-establish a vibratory pattern where the body can heal itself. A polarity session is reassuring and relaxing, balancing and grounding, clarifying and energising, and above all seeks to assist you in achieving balance in vital energy - the foundation of good health and well-being.
